Gluten-Free Bread Storage & Reheating Guide

Gluten-Free Bread Storage & Reheating Guide

Nothing makes gluten-free bread feel “fresh-baked” like storing it the right way, and warming it properly. Below is our best-practice guide to keep your gluten-free baguettes, boules, sandwich bread, and pastries tasting their absolute best from day one to day ten (and beyond).

🥖Breads (baguettes, boules)

Storage: Room temp (best for same-day and next day)
keep in the bag or in a bread box. 2 days and beyond: freeze (whole or sliced).
DO NOT REFRIGERATE - It will dry out the bread quickly.
Sliced tip: You can add parchment paper between slices so you can pull out only what you need.
Reheat (best results)
Slices (toaster): toast until warm and lightly crisp.
Whole loaf / baguette (oven): 350°F for 5–10 min from thawed, or 10–15 min from frozen.
Let cool for a few minutes.
Thawing
Fast option: go straight from frozen → toaster/oven (recommended).
Thaw option: leave at room temp out of oven, then warm in oven for best texture.

🍞Sandwich Bread

Storage: Room temp (best for same-day and next day)
keep in the bag or in a bread box. 2 days and beyond: freeze
AVOID REFRIGERATION - It will dry out the bread quickly.
Sliced tip: You can add parchment paper between slices so you can pull out only what you need.
Reheat (best results)
Slices (toaster): toast from frozen until warm and lightly crisp.
Thawing
Go straight from frozen → toaster
AVOID THAWING FIRST - Thawing at room temperature dries out the bread quickly.

🍪Pastries & sweets (scones, madeleines, brownies, etc.)

Storage: Room temp (best for same-day and next day)
2 days and beyond: freeze
Reheat:
Scones/pastries/Brownies: Warm up 10–15 seconds in microwave
Tarts & Tartelettes: Enjoy within 2 to 3 hours or refrigerate. We do not recommend freezing the tarts/tartelettes.

🥪/ 🍫Frozen Crêpes

Air Fryer (Best): 400F for 4 to 5 minutes.
Microwave (Softer crêpe): 2 to 3 minutes
Pan (Crispier crêpe): Flip to ensure even cooking. Add a little butter to the pan for extra crips and rich taste.

❄️Freezer tips (to prevent freezer burn)

Keep items in an airtight bag/container.
Press out excess air.
If you’re storing longer than ~2 weeks, double-bag for best quality.
