We’re a very small, fast-growing business and we need a Bakery Operations Assistant / All-Around Helper to support day-to-day operations — production support, packaging, cleaning, storefront, and occasional markets/deliveries. This is a key role and a great opportunity to join early (employee #3) and grow with us.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support bakery production alongside our baker (we train): ingredient prep, scaling, shaping support, and basic baking/cooking tasks as you learn
- Package and label products with speed and accuracy (quality control matters)
- Wash dishes and maintain a clean, organized workspace (food safety and efficiency)
- Support the storefront: greet customers, answer basic product questions, restock displays, assist with checkout, keep the front area presentable
- Help with occasional farmers markets: setup/breakdown, sales support, customer service
- Handle occasional deliveries or errands as needed (driver’s license required)
- Jump in where needed — you’ll be part of a small team, so flexibility and initiative are essential.
WHAT YOU'VE DONE
You need to be a go-getter and team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You bring initiative, but you also follow instructions and care about consistency. In addition, you will have the following qualifications
Able to commit to required shifts (see Additional Information)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable with a hands-on role: standing for long periods, lifting, repetitive tasks, working around heat/ovens
- Strong attention to detail (labels, packaging, cleanliness, consistency)
- Dependable and punctual — we need someone we can count on
- Willing to learn quickly and take feedback well
- Food service/bakery/customer service experience is a plus, but not required (we will train the right person)
- Food handler card is a plus (or willingness to obtain it quickly)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- This is a part-time position with the intent to grow into full-time as the business grows
- Compensation: $18/hour + opportunities to earn tips when working storefront shifts

Required shifts:
- Thursday: 1:15 PM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:15 AM – 2:30 PM
- Sunday: 8:15 AM – 2:30 PM
- Optional additional hours (as needed): Tuesday and Wednesday (3–4 hours each day)
- This is an in-person role (not remote)
